Stopped in on our way back to California and was pleasantly surprised. The service was great, the staff were great and the food was excellent. The sauce was perfect and the portions were large. You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely amazing. Our waitress was wonderful. My daughter was not feeling good and she made it her priority to get her everything she needed to cool down and feel better. The food was great and we will return again. Thank you so much to the waitress that helped us. I think her name was Shanda

If you are from anyplace that knows bbq, don't go there. Worst pulled pork ever! Staff is only reason for 2 stars. They are great!

The pig doesn't disappoint. Their fries and BBQ sauce (especially their pig sauce) is the star of the show. They have some pretty rad waiters too!!

Great food! We're lite eaters so we ordered half a slab and an extra plate. We were stuffed! Great value! Good service.

I am dissatisfied , few years back they had great food. I stopped today the ribs were undercooked the chicken was dry and had unplucked feathers on the skin.

Visited August 18, 2018, this place is really good! We had the fish basket, BBQ platter, and 2 kids meals, all the food turned out great! Left with mostly empty plates (couldn't finish all the fries!) Would definitely go back if we are ever in this area!

Stop by for lunch on way home. Wife had half smoked chicken and I had pulled pork sandwich. Both meals were Great. We will likely make this a regular stop on our way to Reno and Lake Tahoe.

Over served an inebriated Customer that subsequently and unprovoked, verbally attacked me and my elderly wife. Staff and customers contained him before I had to embarrass him. Some dishes superior. Too much salt in bbq sauce, meat quality was excellent. Nice staff.

I have never had bad service and the food is amazing. It's one of my regular haunts.

This is the kind of place you look around to see if Gordan Rasmey is lurking in disguise. Wasn't impressed with their food at all. Even my 5 year old whom loves pizza refused to eat what looks like a frozen barons pizza reheated with a little extra cheese. Even their so called sauces are water downed.

Absolutely nothing to write home about. The food was not great at all, we were tucked in the back room that doesn't even feel like part of the restaurant. The best part was our server.

Good BBQ and beer, and the staff were very friendly. There was some seating out front for covid considerations and the dog.

Super friendly! Food was good! We were on a road trip and saw this. Glad we stopped in! I bought a shirt if that means anything. 😀

The food was good but they were definitely cheap on the portions. The only adequate portion was the cherry cobbler. I believe that I had what was called The Smokehouee. The bartender was nice.

The apple pie cobbler amazing. Friendly and fast. No changing table. Not clean. Food ok very different types of flavor. Spicy sauce not that spicy.

Food was amazing! Portion size was great! Service was horrible! Waitress was unfriendly bad attitude. She never refilled drinks. Gave our food never came back to check on us. Never got my BBQ sauce I ordered.

Great chicken wings and the beers were frosty.

Place was quaint and clean and food was not life changing but was very adequate. Service was subpar and my soft drink tasted like dish soap. If I could I would give 4.25 stars as it was not a bad restaurant but still was not great

I love the BBQ sauces they make in-house. You cannot go wrong indulging your taste buds here. I personally have never had anything but very tasty food here. The place is decorated amazingly and you'll notice something new with every visit. The wait staff is always friendly and prompt with service even when slammed with customers. You cannot go wrong treating yourself to some Flying Pig BBQ.

Wow! The BBQ here is great! Had the ribs and shrimp last time and the Mac Daddy burger this time.Would have given a 5 star except for one thing... the grilled chicken. Maybe it's me, but i was not aware one could make leather from chicken breast. This was horrible. I literally could not chew this. It was like actual boot leather. You could make renaissance armor out of this that would break an axe. This chicken is like Mithril armor that could stop a cave troll's spear. Do not order the chicken.My dog would literally not eat this chicken.

We waited for 20 min walked in to get menus waited rudely asked wat we wanted we said 3 menu's refused to give them called manger on phone really nice guy understand wat happened hopefully he finds who was rude and removes them

From low expectations to high praise! Hands down, one of the better BBQ joints I've experienced in the west. From the dry rub on the ribs to the pig trail fries the execution is AMAZING! The beer menu is lacking but the vibes here make up for it. Should you find yourself hungry in Winnemucca... try the Pig...it's delicious.

Excellent food & great service. I stopped in while traveling & I am so happy I did. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves bbq & a needs a nice home cooked meal. Outstanding!

Been here many times (even back when it was the Flying Pig).Always dependable, excellent food; efficient, friendly waitresses.If passing through Winnemucca, we make a point of stopping. It's that good.

I don’t know how they cook their meat, but they are not smoking it. I do a much better job in my stove oven at home. We travel for a living and buy beef briskets by the pound all the time. We bought 3 pounds from these guys for $86 and all four of us hated it. It’s just simply not good. Will never pull in here again. Look at the picture. Does this look like a beef brisket?

We wanted some BBQ and ended up here. Very good smoked meat! We had pulled pork, ribs, beef and chicken. Everything was really good. The curly fries were great and the potato salad was home made and delicious. Plus, the beer on tap was cold and delicious.

Pulled pork Sandwich and shredded chicken sandwich were pretty good. Parents loved the Philly Cheesesteak!

Absolutely loved the food. Ordered the pulled pork salad. Just to let you know I loved the ranch dressing for the salad. The husband loved his hamburger and rattle snake eggs. Plus the atmosphere was awesome friendly server and guests!!!

Excellent service, good ribs, decent pulled pork. They have a good selection of sauces. I was surprised at how many families with young children were there. Very much a local restaurant.

Winnemucca has had some great food come and go over the years. But when three people recommend a place within five minutes, it pays to listen.My dad had the pulled pork sandwich and loved both the sandwich and the massive pile of fries that came with it.I had a classic burger with extra cheese. It was barbequed perfectly. Juicy and excellent. And the sweet potato fries were very good.The service was just as awesome as you'd expect from a mom and pop western barbeque. They remembered we were going to hit the road soon and brought our last refills in to-go cups.Friendly, fast, and delicious. I plan on making The Pig a regular stop on my way to Utah.

Friendly staff. Quick service. Fabulous ribs that melt in your mouth. The cowboy beans were to die for. 4 sauce choices for the ribs. Upgraded to onion rings, very good as well. Coleslaw was a great add-on. 1/2 rack was more than enough for two famished ladies. Highly recommended.
